To finish off the year we have the most spectacular version of an ‘Everhot‘ tea and coffee set – isn’t that yellow just one of the nicest colours you’ve ever seen? I’m talking about the bright canary yellow plastic handles – the pastel yellow glaze is nice enough, but the bright yellow lids just top things off beautifully! Because of their age (these sets date to the early art deco period), there’s some wear to both the chrome cosies and the ceramic pots, but in this case most of the wear is to the coffee pot, and generally speaking the remainder of the set is actually pretty neat.
A fabulous bit of art deco design! In fact I’d go so far as to say this is one of the nicest versions of an Everhot set I’ve ever come across!
P.S. The base of the pots are stamped ‘GP Ltd’, which according to some sites stands for Greta Pottery, an English firm which closed down at the start of the Second World War in 1939
