Recently I’ve gotten seriously into woven baskets after discovering what great containers they make for plants – in fact look out for my blog post on Ruth, the Jozi basket weaver, that hopefully I’ll get to writing in the next week or so!
Luckily you can find some really beautiful baskets in South Africa, but sadly most of these come with a very hefty price tag – you can pay thousands of Rands for a sizable, well crafted basket like today’s, which fortunately is somewhat more reasonably priced. The only downside to our basket is that it’s been made in such a way that the base isn’t flat, making it impractical for pot plants, but it’s still super useful – and beautiful! – you can use it for storing toilet rolls (that’s where we keep our spare rolls – in a woven basket next to the loo), for blankets in your lounge, or for rolled up towels in your bathroom – it’ll make bath time feel like a stay at a luxury hotel, plus you’ll save on linen cupboard space!
P.S. I’m away at the moment, so unfortunately I’m not able to provide dimensions for this basket
Unfortunately this item is too large for one of our courier packets, so will need to be boxed. To save on shipping costs, we’re happy to combine other items at no additional courier fee
