West German Casserole Dishes (Each)

R130.00R170.00

These casserole dishes are the last of our West German Jasba ware. From what I can tell the pattern, which has a distinctly folk art feel to it, is called ‘Cerafeu’ and was designed in the 1950s. The name ‘Marika‘ also appears on the base of the dishes, but most people seem to reference it by Cerafeu, so perhaps Marika was the name of the designer? Who knows! The base of the casserole dishes also look like they were designed to withstand heat, with that grid-like pattern, but I can’t say for certain and wouldn’t want to be responsible for the demise of the pots after so many years, so perhaps it’s better not to risk it! But they’re still a very attractive pair, and I think having the two different sizes should make them quite handy in the kitchen!

Dimensions: Medium casserole dish – 22cm in diameter x 11cm tall (with lid on); Small casserole dish – 16cm in diameter x 10cm tall (with lid on)
