Vintage Replogle Globe

This is probably the cleanest vintage globe I’ve ever seen! Normally the metal on these Replogle globes is quite corroded, but the base on this globe is nearly mint – impressive given the fact that it must be going on for at least 40 years! And I love how beautifully crafted this globe is, with its tactile surface designed to simulate the raised surfaces of the earth. It reminds me of this fabulous video showing women making globes in the 1950s – pretty darn cool!
