The maker’s mark on this pair of vintage German ice buckets belongs to Porzellanmalerei Parbus, a small decorating studio in Bavaria, started in 1904 by Leni Parbus and continued by her son Erich in 1955. Going on the maker’s mark and the style of decoration I’d guess that this pair probably date to the early 1950s. They’re in excellent condition for their age – the one handle is bent slightly out of shape, but that’s about it in terms of wear and tear. They’re not insulated in any way, so won’t stop your ice from melting, but will look lovely sitting on your drinks trolley or verandah table while you’re enjoying your afternoon sundowners!
Dimensions: Each ice bucket measures approx. 10.5cm in diameter x 12cm tall (excl. handle)
