And here we have two more of our lovely porcelain figurines from our collection. I wasn’t sure at first who was responsible for either figure, as they’re simply marked ‘England’, but it turns out that our cheeky duck is the work of Nancy Great-Rex. Nancy was headhunted by Clarice Cliff from the Burslem School Of Art to come and work for Midwinter, the English factory who produced our quacking duck, which was supposedly produced sometime during the 1940s. Sadly I don’t have as much detail about our wee bunny, but I do know that it was manufactured by Beswick, and was part of a larger series of rabbits – now don’t you just wish we had them all!

Both pieces are in excellent condition and would look ever so sweet sitting on a shelf in a child’s bedroom – provided they were placed out of reach of any busy hands that might do damage to these rather precious figurines!

Dimensions: Midwinter duck – 10.5cm tall x 6cm wide x 4cm deep; Beswick bunny – 8cm tall x 4cm wide x 3cm deep
