There’s something very appealing about good quality, worn leather – it’s such a wonderfully tactile material, and even a few scrapes and blemishes don’t really seem to detract from its beauty. That’s how I feel about this vintage American-made Buxton wallet, at any rate. It’s not in mint condition (although being preserved in its original box, I think it’s condition is fair for its age), but the signs of wear seem to add to, rather than take away from the attractiveness of this piece. It’s also a very slim wallet, which gives it quite a contemporary feel, with the fashion these days leaning towards ultra skinny men’s wallets – leaving us poor lasses to carry everything that won’t fit into our husband’s wallets – at least that’s been my experience!
