It won’t be to everyone’s taste, but personally I really like this ceramic lamp base! I’m not as sold on the brass fitting, but you won’t really notice that once you have a shade on it. I tried it out with a black lamp shade that I had (excuse the plastic wrapping that’s still on the shade!) – I don’t mind the black, but I think it needs more of a barrel shaped shade, and perhaps one that’s slightly larger? But at least it gives you an idea of how it will potentially look with a lamp shade on….

Note: The red ceramic base is excellent condition. There’s a bit of glue left on the base, presumably from when it had a piece of fabric covering it, but that’s barely noticeable. The price excludes the lampshade.
