This is a really unusual lamp! Mu guess would be that the glass is Italian, possibly Murano, and probably dates to around the 1950s or ’60s. Because the base and the ‘shade’ are one in the same, and are made of transparent glass, you can obviously see the candle bulb fitting, which I must be honest, I don’t love, but when the light is turned on all is forgiven – the light that shines through the pleated glass really is quite beautiful! Also for its age, the lamp is in excellent condition, with only very minor wear to the rim of the light, which is a nice bonus!
A unique and really special lamp that would make a great gift for any Murano collectors.
