Vintage Genie Bottles (Each)

I’m drawn to coloured glass like a bee to honey, so when I spotted today’s emerald green genie bottle I just had to have it, despite it being damaged. I didn’t realise though, quite how bad the damage was until we cleaned the bottle – while none of the cracks are on the outside (you can’t feel them at all, i.e. they’re ‘inside’ the glass), sadly there are quite a few areas which are cracked. As such, I’m selling our deep green genie bottle at cost price – it’s still a very handsome piece, and if you position it just right, you won’t the damage at all!

I’m happy to say though that the taller, Italian genie bottle is in much better condition! There are still one or two nicks in the glass, but these are the result of the manufacturing process, so wouldn’t be considered damage per se, and overall this is a very neat piece of glass. It’s also nice and tall, so will really stand out!

An attractive pair that will make for an amazing display – years ago a friend of mine had a collection of these genie bottles arranged as a centrepiece on her dining room table, and I’ve never forgotten how striking they looked!
