Vintage General Electric Kettle
R320.00
Years ago someone told me that today’s General Electric kettle was made in the same factory, and from the same mould, as old car lights. You can see where they were coming from – the shape could easily fit a 1950s Oldsmobile – but I think GE were probably pretty proficient and didn’t need to outsource their metalwork. Although, I suppose you never do know! But regardless of how our kettle came to be, it’s still a really beautiful looking appliance! It does have some signs of wear and tear, but so would you after sixty years of hard work, and a few dings and scuff marks can’t put me off this design classic, which appears to be in good working order.
Note: The kettle is electric, but doesn’t switch off automatically, so you’ll need to remember to turn it off when you hear it boil
