It looks like these vintage mixing bowls are from two different sets, but I think they go well enough together, plus I think it’s great to find a set of four, even if they don’t match perfectly. These are small bowls, which for some reason remind me of the type of bowl that you’d eat a Christmas pudding out of – I suppose they’re a similar shape and round about the same size, so they’re more suited to beating eggs than they are to mixing cake batter – that being said if your cake’s not huge they could maybe do the job fine? They have a fair bt of wear, but then again, I think they’ve got a fair bot of age too, so that’s to be expected, and somehow the wear and tear adds a bit of charm to the bowls. They look like something that could have come out of the kitchen at Downton Abbey, so maybe that’s why the wear seems so fitting.
A lovely set that would make a great gift for any bakers out there.
