These are some of the priciest mixing bowls we’ve ever bought – or sold – but the blue glaze is really unusual, as is the pouring spout on the smallest of the bowls, so I just couldn’t resist them! The base of the bowls are stamped GP Ltd, which according to some people stands for Greta Pottery, an English firm which closed down at the start of the Second World War (1939) – which would explain why there’s some proper crazing on the two larger bowls*, and a few small minor nicks here and there. But if you consider that these bowls are likely in the region of 80 years old, their condition really isn’t too bad at all, and I think a bit of aging sometimes adds to the charm of kitchenalia!

*Note: The small mixing bowl with the pouring spout is in near perfect condition

Dimensions: Large mixing bowl – 26cm in diameter x 11.5cm deep; Medium mixing bowl – 19cm in diameter x 13cm deep; Small mixing bowl (with spout) – 17cm in diameter x 11cm deep
