Vintage Enamel Basin

R300.00

It seems like I have a new obsession – enamel basins! This is the third one that I’ve found in as many months! Although if I’m going to be accurate this is actually the first basin that I’m putting up for sale, the other two were kitchen sinks. I think this is probably the oldest of the three, and it has the wear and tear to prove it – the enamel has worn away quiet badly around the one tap hole and there are loads of fine scratches, as well as a few obligatory chips in the enamel, but for me all of that just adds charm to the piece, and let’s face it, that’s really what you’re buying if you’re investing in an enamel basin. I really like the thick rim of this basin, which I would assume would sit above your cupboard or plinth – it shows the name off nicely and gives it a nice chunky feel.

A character-filled bathroom basin that I think would look absolutely fantastic paired with some nice and shiny contemporary chrome taps.

Dimensions: 52cm long x 43cm wide x 14cm deep (rim measures 4cm deep)

NB: We’re overseas until the 14th July, so unfortunately there will be a delay in posting/couriering items until we’re back.
