Vintage Flipside Toaster

I see these vintage dropside toasters for sale from time to time, but invariably they’re in really bad condition, and not being the easiest things to clean, I have to pass them up – but todays handsome Durban-made toaster is pretty darn clean! The metal’s a bit tarnished in places, but on the whole this toaster’s very neat for its years! And in addition to its fine looks, it’s in great working order! It also has a nice feature – it looks like it’s designed so that you can keep a piece of toast warm on top of the toaster while you’re toasting your next piece of bread!
