How much fun are these vintage plastic earrings?! Obviously they were very cheaply produced back in the day, and if you look closely you can see some minor marks in the plastic, but they’re still completely wearable and with those bright colours, and bold shapes, I’m sure you’ll turn a few heads! The dark blue, almost teardrop shaped earrings, seem to be a much better quality than the plastic clip-ons, although they’re also starting to show their age – the blue has chipped away in spots, revealing what looks like brass underneath? I don’t mind the damage too much though – they’re quite large earrings, so I think their size will overpower the small flacks of gold showing through.
And then we have that fantastic turquoise bangle! While it looks to be made out of a type of plastic, it’s definitely not cheap and cheerful – it was produced by Pellini, an Italian family of designers with an impressive resume, who are still going strong today! Sadly the bangle does have some scuff marks, which fortunately aren’t very noticeable, but I think it’s still strikingly beautiful in its simplicity, and would look fantastic dressed up or down!
