Vintage Ball Jars (Each)

We’re lucky enough to have found – and sold – a good deal of vintage Ball jars over the years. And while I love ALL Ball jars (what’s not to love?!) there are definitely some designs that I favour over others, with today’s jars being right up there! They’re probably not as practical as the screw-on zinc-lined lids, but these wire clasp jars are much harder to come by, which immediately makes them that much more special! I also love the way they look – seriously old school!

Note: The jar with the slightly more delicate Ball logo dates to sometime between 1923-1933, with the jar with the bolder Ball logo dating to between 1933-1962. Also please note that the slightly later Ball jar has a manufacturing defect – it looks like the logo has been incorrectly placed, with the wire clasp being off centre, and the join in the glass being visible next to the logo. It’s still a completely functional jar though – the issues are only aesthetic….
