I can never resist a good Ball jar! I see it as my personal mission to save all the old kitchen jars out there – people might not always appreciate them, but they’re one of the most practical (and beautiful) ways that you can introduce something vintage into your home. Ball jars date all the way back to 1885, which means that you could have a jar that’s 130 years old sitting in your contemporary kitchen, and I promise you it wouldn’t look out of place at all! Obviously the jars from the 1800s are pretty hard to come by, but even today’s jars have some proper age to them, dating to between 1933 and 1962. Being in the region of sixty years old their zinc lids are a bit tired looking, but fortunately all of the milk glass liners (on the inside of the lids) are intact, with no cracks or chips.
A great collection of Ball jars that will make a fine addition to your kitchen pantry.
Dimensions: Each jar measures 18cm tall x 9cm in diameter
