What’s not to love about these old Ball jars? They’re beautiful items, with that wonderful old school raised cursive lettering; practical – you can store all manner of goods in them (everything from loose stationery to lentils!); and they were made to last – one of these bottles* is eighty plus years old! They also all have their original zinc lids and milk glass liners, although the lids are all a wee bit tired looking, and the inside of the one lid is cracked, but it’s still perfectly functional.
A great set of jars that should still be around in an other eighty years if you care for them well!
* The Ball jar without the underscore dates to between 1923 and 1933; the other three jars date to between 1933 and 1962
Dimensions: Each jar measures 17cm tall x 9cm in diameter
