Recently Ive developed a great passion for dimpled glass – there’s something so satisfying about the shape of glass that’s been played with like this – it makes you want to reach out and run your hands over all those wonderful curves! Dimpled glass is most associated with American glass makers, Blenko, who’ve been in operation since 1893, and started producing this style of glass in the early 1950s. I’m not sure that today’s vase is a piece of Blenko glass, but it definitely has the same feel to it – visit Etsy to see a similarly styled piece to see where I’m coming from. I’m also not sure that it is a vase – it could also be a carafe, although it is very tall? Regardless of what it was originally intended as, at the end of the day it’s a very striking piece of glass that would make a fine addition to someone’s collection!
Note: The vase does have a few scratches that don’t show up in the photos
Dimensions: 44cm tall x 14cm in diameter
