I don’t know what it is, but we seem to be specialising in bud vases at the moment! Today’s vase, which is a seriously beautiful piece of hand-blown glass, has the most unusual shape with that bulbous base, and ever so slightly beveled rim. It looks to be a piece of Murano ‘sommerso’ glass, but I can’t say with a hundred percent certainty – it’s safe to say though that whoever made it clearly knew a thing or two about glass!
P.S. We photographed it with another sommerso bud vase that we sold last week. The colours are ever so slightly different, but the vases still go really well together! Also please note that there is the tiniest fleabite chip along the rim of the vase – so tiny in fact that we weren’t able to photograph it….
