Looking at the shape of this piece I can only guess that it would originally have been used as a telephone table? So what to repurpose it as now that most of us don’t have landlines? Depending on the style and height of your bed, you could perhaps use it as a bedside table, but I think a better suggestion might just be a side table to use in your lounge. Somewhere to stack magazines, display your favourite pot plant, or hide all those odds and ends that we somehow manage to accumulate (spare batteries, slips that you still have to file, remotes that you don’t use very often – the list goes on!) – it has a great drawer (nice and long, but with the inevitable ink stain) where you could stash all manner of things! It also happens to be in pretty decent nick, and quite well made with nice joins forming really lovely curves on the edges of the table.
P.S. If you do still have a landline you should definitely invest in a stylish little table like this, and pair it with one of our fabulous rotary dial telephones – we have quite a few in stock that we still need to put up for sale!
