The gentleman who I bought this retro Presto pressure cooker from told me that it had never been used before, but on closer inspection there are definitely signs of use – still for its years it’s in remarkably good condition! It still has its original pots, and what looks to be a steamer plate, and of course there’s that fantastic orange floral decoration, which after all these years is still nice and bright!
A practical and very attractive piece of cookware that could cost you upwards of R1500 for a new version, that wouldn’t be nearly as cool!
P.S. National Presto Industries, Inc is still going strong today – read about the company history here!
