Retro Japanese Stacking Ashtrays (Per Set)

I know, I know, I really shouldn’t buy ashtrays, but they always seem to be such handsome designs, the temptation is just too great! Like these 1960s stacking melamine ashtrays by renowned Japanese designer, Isamu Kenmochi (1912-1971), who was known for his simple, but striking designs. Each ashtray consists of a mounded melamine bowl encased in a type of plastic coated chrome, and stacked neatly one on top of the other. The colours of the ashtrays are fantastic, ranging from a rather respectable olive green, to a bright mandarin orange. One or two of the ashtrays are quite badly scratched (see photos), but others are in good condition, and overall the effect is still nice and neat.

A very attractive set of ashtrays that will add a wonderful pop of colour to your lounge or dining room!

P.S. A single Isamu Kenmochi ashtray normally sells for around £15 (R250), but can sell for as much as £26 (R430).

Dimensions: Each ashtray measures 7cm in diameter x 3.5cm deep
