As much as I like this retro enamel kettle (and I really do!), it’s driven me completely bonkers! I swear I recognise that maker’s mark, but I’ve spent ages trawling through the internet (and the recesses of my mind!), with zero success! I still don’t know who’s responsible for manufacturing this handsome teapot-cum-kettle! But looking at the simplicity of the design, my guess would be that’s it’s a piece of Scandinavian enamelware, although that really is just a guess. Perhaps someone out there will be able to help us out?
Regardless of who made it, it’s a very handsome (and seemingly good quality) kettle, perfect for a gas stove. Unfortunately the inside of the pot is matte to the touch, so will likely stain quite easily, but that won’t effect how well your kettle works, so really isn’t too much of an issue.
A very handsome and well proportioned kettle, in good condition for its years.
