Retro Chrome Lamp

Some of you might remember that I had one of these lamps for sale a few months ago? At the time I thought the lamp might be handmade as it was a wee bit wobbly, and the design seemed rather unusual, but Barbara from Skyscraper contacted me with a pair of these mid-century lamps, so I knew then that they were factory made and that they were something special (Barbara only sells exceptional pieces!), so when I spotted another one the other day I snatched it up! Luckily this version is in much better condition, with only minor wear to the chrome ‘hubcaps’ that make up the lamp base. It even has its original shade, which sadly it needs to be replaced due to some water damage. I’ve left it on for the photos just to give an idea of how it would have originally looked – pretty darn sexy don’t you think?
