How handsome is this chest of drawers? The gentleman that I bought it from thought that it was solid wood, which is understandable because it’s a really nice piece of furniture, but in truth it’s a good quality veneer. The veneer has a few small chips, but nothing that is too noticeable. There are some marks on the top of the drawers that are more visible, but I think those marks have likely been there since the drawers were first made. We’ve sanded the wood down and given it a few coats of Woodoc, so despite a bit of wear the overall impression is pretty good! I love the design of the handles, which elevate what would otherwise be a very plain piece of furniture into something quite special!
NB: These drawers are probably a bit smaller than you’d expect them to be – please pay attention to the dimensions below…..

Long shot: I would love to buy this, but I wonder if I could request that it be stained darker (happy to pay for the extra cost of course). Please please? Anokhi
I’m really am so sorry Anokhi, but we won’t be able to stain it darker – it would involve undoing all of the work and money that we’ve already put into it – I hope you understand? But it’s probably a bit darker than it looks in the photos – my camera tends to give everything a yellow tint! You’re welcome to come and look at it to see the proper colour – let me know if you’d like to (we’re based in Linksfield)…..
