Retro Ceramic Oil Jugs (Each)

This is one crazy pair of jugs! The gentleman who I bought them from said that they were oil jugs, and their shape, combined with an old printed ‘oil’ label (that we’ve since removed), makes me think that he was probably right! I don’t think that they were mass produced items, but they also don’t look like someone’s pottery project, so I presume that they were produced by the likes of Linnware, or some other relatively small pottery house.

A great pair that would make fantastic olive oil and balsamic bottles – I love those mad retro spouts, super cool!

NB: The glaze is dark brown, not black

Dimensions: Each jug measures 16cm tall x 9cm in diameter
