Porcelain Rosenthal Teacups (Set)

If you’re serious about your tea then you owe it to yourself to add a set of Rosenthal teacups to your china collection – the super fine porcelian means that they’re an absolute pleasure to drink out of, and their designs, while sometimes quite restrained, are always quite beautiful!

The teacups that we have for sale today are part of Rosenthal’s Form 2000 series, designed by iconic American designer Ramond Loewy. Loewy was employed by Rosenthal in the 1950s to update their image so that they could break into the American market. He designed Form 2000 in 1955, and it proved such a hit that they continued production of the design right through to the 1980s. It’s difficult to tell from the maker’s mark, as it didn’t vary very much over the years, but I think that this particular set of tea cups was made in the early 1960s, making the set in the region of fifty years old – and not a mark on a single cup!

P.S. A single Form 2000 cup and saucer set sells for around $15 online, just about the price of our whole set

Dimensions: Each cup measures 6cm tall x 10.5cm in diameter
