Not only is today’s Osterizer blender pretty easy on the eyes, it’s also in excellent condition, and is a great quality machine! The John Oster Manufacturing Company (who were acquired by Sunbeam in 1960) have been making high-end blenders since 1946 – they’ve always tended to be slightly more expensive than other blenders, but as the author of this Wikipedia article points out, “Osterizer blenders tended towards heavy construction and motors. While this raised costs, many early-model Osterizers still function today, and are more powerful than the majority of contemporary consumer blenders”. And today’s blender is a great example of that – turn it on and you immediately hear the power behind that motor! It also has loads of settings, from chopping all the way through to liquefying, so you should be able to use your Osterizer for pretty much any blending job!
P.S. The Osterizer is great value for money when you compare it to what you would pay for a good quality modern blender
