Noritake Coffee Set

R280.00

One of the things I love about Noritake is that nine times out of ten Noritake pieces are in mint condition – I know I’ve mentioned it before, but it really does always impress me. I think it’s probably because people are aware that Noritake is fairly pricey, and fairly collectible, so they look after it well – I’ve never seen a Noritake dinner service in general, everday use. Like this Noritake Royal Ceramics coffee set – I don’t think it’s ever left the display cabinet! Going on what I’ve read it looks like this Snowville pattern dates to the early 1960s, yet there’s barely a mark on it – mad! There’s a manufacturing defect along the rim of the sugar bowl (tut tut Noritake – not good enough!), but otherwise this set  really is in mint condition.

I hope that whoever owns it next makes good use of it – I love the fact that the set’s been so well looked after, but I also firmly believe that we should use the things we love, otherwise what’s the point?

NB: These are almost espresso sized cups , not full sized coffee cups
