I don’t know how I missed it at the time when I bought it, but sadly today’s (pretty impressive!) Murano-style bowl has some damage to one of its ‘leaves’ (see photos) – it’s sustained quite a serious chip, which someone has roughly sanded, so at least it’s not sharp. The base of the dish also has on or two chips, although these are less serious.
I suppose though, the reason I missed the damage is that while it’s quite obvious when you do spot it, it’s not actually particularly noticeable, being on the underside of the glass. So although it won’t be suitable to a collector who’s interested in value, for someone who’s just looking for a striking piece of glass, at an affordable price, this might just tick all their boxes!
