Lucia Boat Vase

I’m not sure if I’ve come across this exact style of Lucia vase before, and if I have I’m pretty certain I haven’t seen it in this great bright yellow glaze, which of course has to be my very favourite of the Lucia glazes! I’ve called it a boat vase, but I actually think t would work really well as a fruit bowl. Boat vases normally aren’t large enough to accommodate anything more than an oasis, but this guy’s nice and long and wide enough for a few satsumas and a banana or two!there are a few spots where the glaze has been applied irregularly, resulting in some thick patches, but in terms of damage or wear there’s nothing to speak of!

A great piece of vintage South African pottery that will make any Lucia ware collector very happy indeed!
