There’s always a moment of suspense when I spot one of these vintage mixing bowls – I’m never sure what the condition is going to be like until I peer inside the bowl – inevitably there’s some damage to the glaze, or even worse a crack right through the bowl. So when I find a bowl as large as this one (it’s definitely one of the bigger models) and it turns out that it’s in great nick, I get super excited! I can’t make out the maker’s name, but the base of the bowl is clearly marked ‘England’, so I know this bowl is the real deal, and the spoon marks on the inside of the bowl also show that it’s got a bit of age to it.
A great big piece of vintage kitchenalia large enough to mix batter for practically any size of cake!
