Along with the coat rack from yesterday, these lights are something that I really wish I had found when we were renovating our house! For one I couldn’t believe the price of modern lights (a good looking new light will set you back anything from R1200 upwards – and that’s considered fairly reasonable!), and for two it’s really hard to find something that’s a bit different – every store you go into has variants of the lights that you saw in the last shop. So after all of my hunting I firmly believe that vintage lighting’s the way to go! But even if these lights were modern I would have been delighted to have found them – I just probably wouldn’t have been able to afford them! And definitely not four of them – yes I have four of them! Two of them are identical, with the same sized glass shades (isn’t that plain white glass so stylish?), and the same length of poles. Then there’s one with the same length pole, but a slightly larger shade, and finally there’s a fourth light with the same sized shade as the first two, but a shorter pole.
I know that these lights might look quite plain, but I’m confident that they will look amazing when you hang them! We used predominantly white vintage glass lights in our house, and I’m super happy with how they look.
Note: All of the lights have been rewired, and for the most part the lights are in good condition. The metal plates that sit directly on top of the glass shades (i.e. the piece that’s not visible when the lights are hanging) could do with being re-chromed, but that’s about it in terms of wear & tear. Also these lights are a bit larger than your standard deco lights, so pay attention to the dimensions below…….
Dimensions: Two matching pendant lights – 27cm in diameter x 27cm tall/82cm tall incl. pole; Pendant light with large shade – 30cm in diameter x 30cm tall/82cm tall incl. pole; Pendant light with shorter pole – 27cm in diameter x 27cm tall/74cm tall incl. pole
