Japanese Home Ice Creamer

R300.00

While I’m completely useless in the kitchen, I have family on the other side of the world that have a kitchen that would make Jamie Oliver drool, including not one, but two Agas! But perhaps even more exciting (for me at least!) is their home ice cream maker! I’m pretty sure that their machine is a bit more hi-tech than the Japanese Aichi ice creamer that we’re selling today, but it probably also costs a lot more, especially when you consider the pennies we get for our Rands these days! And while our ice cream machine may be pretty basic, it looks easy enough to use, and is in great condition, complete with its original (although somewhat tired looking) box!

P.S. As I understand it the Aichi ice creamer works by putting ice, cold water and a bit of salt around the outside of the cylinder, with your ingredients for your ice cream inside the cylinder. Turn the ice creamer on and watch the blades slowly swirl your mixture. The red light should come on when the machine has finished/stopped. It should take anything between twenty minutes and an hour for your ice cream to thicken, depending on your recipe and quantity. If your ice cream isn’t quite frozen enough, you can remove the cylinder and put it in the freezer until you’re happy with the consistency
