Japanese Food Warmer

R130.00

Isn’t this Japanese food warmer just so handsome? Strangely I think this is another instance when retro South African and Japanese design cross over – I can’t say for certain, but I’m fairly confident that I’ve seen very similar warmers with ‘Made in RSA’ stamps. The idea is that you put a little tealight candle in the middle of the warmer, and place your pot of hot food on top. I’m not sure how long or how well it would keep your food warm for, but it’ll definitely add a bit of style to your dinner party, and protect your table from a hot pot at the same time!

P.S. There’re a few faint marks to the metal top, but I think that’s probably more from age than from use – the fact that its still has its original box (albeit a bit worn) makes me think that it couldn’t have been used very much.
