Japanese China Cups, Saucers & Side Plates (Set)

Today’s Japanese Sango cups and saucers form part of the same dinner service as the unusual plates that we sold a few weeks back. Like the larger dinner plates, the design of these coffee (or tea?) cups means that they sit completely flush with their saucers, with the matching side plates also lying almost completely flat. I think this is my favourite part of the design, and the reason that I bought the set, but I also like the crisp white glaze, and the quality of the porcelain, which is just great!
