I’m never sure about these ashtrays – not not sure if I like them (which I obviously do!), just not sure about how old they are, or where they come from. They’re quite different to the Murano-style of ashtray, and they generally don’t show many signs of serious use, so I would assume that they’re more modern. Not that that should detract too much – you get some quite beautiful (and pretty pricey!) pieces of modern glass that have been handblown ,which these definitely are. This is a really nice example of this style of ashtray, with a lovely bright orangey-red glass and a nice decent size – a little bit bigger than you’d expect it to be, so it will make a great piece for display.
Note: There’s no actual wear to the ashtray, but there is a minor manufacturing defect in the white swirls of the glass (see photos).
Dimensions: 7cm tall x 13.5cm in diameter
NB: We’re overseas until the 14th July, so unfortunately there will be a delay in posting/couriering items until we’re back.
