Handblown Bud Vase

R160.00

There’s a maker’s mark etched onto the base of this lovely bud vase (unfortunately not visible in the photos) that’s been driving me nuts! It resembles a P (and a mushroom – really, it looks a bit like a mushroom!), and it’s a mark that I recognise, but that I can’t seem to remember or track down. But just the fact that there is a maker’s stamp, means that it’s a decent piece of glass – even if I can’t tell you quite how decent! It’s a lovely shape with similarities to Holmegaard’s ‘bone’ vases. There’s definitely something floral about the design (a flattened arum lily?), and I would assume that it was deigned as a bud vase, having quite a narrow opening. It’s not the largest vase, although still quite a solid piece of glass, and being clear it doesn’t really shout out at you, but it’s been beautifully designed and finished, and was clearly made by someone who knew what they were doing!

Note: there is some very minor wear where it looks like the glass has been slightly marked from water (again, not visible in the pics), but the damage really isn’t very noticeable.

Dimensions: 16cm tall x 11cm in diameter (across lip of vase)/8cm in diameter (across base)

NB: We’re overseas until the 14th July, so unfortunately there will be a delay in posting/couriering items until we’re back
