Handblown Ashtray

This is definitely one of the more naive vintage ashtrays that I’ve had for sale – while the shape’s quite common, it’s not quite as voluptuous as these ashtrays normally are, and the glass is clear, with no bubbles or inclusions. But it’s still a avery attractive piece – the thing that makes it stand out (and the reason that I bought it) is that great blue glass! Such a striking colour, and quite unusual. There’s a fleck of dirt that sits inside the glass (a manufacturing defect), but otherwise the ashtray is in good condition.

A nice piece for a collection (the colour will look fantastic sitting alongside some reds or yellows), or as an everyday ashtray for when you have guests round.
