Hand-painted Oriental Pot Plant

I think this pot plant is hand-painted, I also think it has some age to it, although I can’t say how much age, or who painted it – I’m a real fountain of knowledge aren’t I? Most sites seem to refer to the style as a koi pot or fish bowl, and they come in all different sizes, with this pot plant being on the smaller side – although not tiny. There seems to a be a signature on the base, although I wouldn’t have a clue as to how to decipher it, but the fact that it’s signed would imply to me that it’s a decent quality piece – although that being said the artist clearly couldn’t colour inside the lines!

P.S. These pots sell for a fair bit of money often going for upwards of R1000!
