Considering how I try to restrain myself from buying ashtrays (they’re not quite as popular as they used to be!) I’m clearly not doing a very good job – but how can I resist when I keep seeing such beautiful pieces of glass! Today we have a wonderful deep blue contemporary Swedish Kosta Boda bowl designed by Anna Ehrner to hold a tealight candle – so actually not an ashtray after all, although obviously it could be used as one. Then we have that fabulous acid yellow ashtray, which I suspect is a piece of Japanese Kamei glass, and finally the slightly plainer, but still very stylish, clear glass ashtray, which is also hand blown, and of excellent quality!
Note: All three pieces of glasses are in great condition, although there is some wear to the base of the clear ashtray (see photos)
Dimensions: Blue Kosta Boda bowl – 5.5cm tall x 11cm in diameter; Yellow ashtray – 3cm tall x 10cm in diameter; Clear glass ashtray – 3.5cm tall x 11cm in diameter
