Grindley Coffee Set & Espresso Cups

I think it’s going to be many years before I tire of the colour yellow! It’s just so delightful! It also does a good job of making vintage pieces feel a bit more modern – not that there’s anything wrong with vintage! This Grindley set, with it’s great bold (yet quite soft) yellow glaze consists of a coffee pot, milk jug and sugar bowl, plus ten espresso cups. To make sense of it all I’m splitting the set into three parts, with the cups sold separately in a set of six and a set of four – it’s sometimes handy to have an extra cup or two when you have a dinner party, but surely not ten espresso cups!

P.S. There’s a bit of wear to the black trim, but no real damage. The maker’s mark dates the set to between 1936 and 1954, so I don’t think it’s doing too badly at all!
