These wonderful colour prints (technically called ‘plates’ as they would originally have been published in books) are a slightly newer vintage than the goods that we normally sell on Mint, although I suppose 1990 was nearly thirty years ago now (nuts!), so they’re not exactly brand new either. They were produced for Rowland Ward, a publisher of natural history and hunting books, that’s been going since 1870. Rather macabrely they originally started out as a firm of taxidermists – I must say, I think I prefer these beautiful drawings to the stuffed versions! All three of the prints are in good condition for their age, although there is some minor yellowing to the paper – not something that will be terribly noticeable once you have the prints framed.
A great set of drawings for a little boy or girl’s bedroom, although they would go equally as well in a lounge or study.
Dimensions: Each print measures 45cm long x 30cm wide
