Everhot Style Teapot & Milk Jug (Pair)

I’ve only ever come across the maker’s stamp on the base of this dusty pink Everhot-style teapot once before, and like now, I couldn’t really find out any information about it then. The base is stamped GP Ltd, which according to some people stands for Greta Pottery, an English firm which closed down at the start of the Second World War (1939) – I suppose it’s possible that this teapot and matching milk jug date to around that period? Looking  at their style they couldn’t be that much newer than that, which makes their condition impressive for their age! The plastic knobs on top of the cosies have lost their pink paint (we washed the remnants of the paint away when we were cleaning them), and the knob on the teapot is slightly wonky, but there’s really nothing major to report on in terms of damage. And on top of being in great nick, the colour of the glaze make them quite special – I’ve only ever sold a handful of pink teapots before!

P.S. If you found yourself a pink Continental sugar bowl, it might go quite well….

Dimensions: Teapot – 17cm tall x 13cm in diameter; Milk jug – 9cm tall x 11cm in diameter
