Econasign Stencil Set

This is such a cool piece of stationery! From what I can gather Econasign was a burgeoning business that set up shop in West Sussex in 1929. I can’t tell exactly when they closed, but they were still going in 1947 when they exhibited at the British Industries Fair. Their kits were aimed at small businesses who could use the transparent stencils for the manufacturing of “showcards, price tickets, posters, labels, etc…..by a simple operation of printing by means of transparent stencils”. There you have it! I’ve had a look at today’s set, and bar a missing paintbrush it looks to be complete. I’m not sure if the paints will have completely dried out, but it would be easy enough to replace the box with a new set of water colours, which I assume is what these paints are.

A great bit of fun for any typography nuts out there! You could also use the box for other crafts, although personally I think it would be a shame to dismantle something this cool!

P.S. This item is too large for one of our courier packets, so will need to be boxed. To save on shipping costs, we’re happy to combine other items at no additional courier fee

Dimensions: Box measures 31cm long x 9cm wide x 25cm tall
