Neither of these enamel pieces are in what you’d call tip-top shape, but they’re pretty old, so I suppose you wouldn’t really expect them to be in mint condition, would you? The base of the double boiler is a bit warped so it won’t sit flat on the stove, but luckily you only use water in the bottom pot so it’s not like it needs to cook evenly. The colander, which I think is probably even older than the double boiler, has plenty of chips in the enamel, but it has loads of character, and as in the case of the double boiler, is still a perfectly functional piece of kitchenalia.
Note: The colander is a bit smaller than your standard colander, so please pay attention to the dimensions below.
