Today’s blanket is quite different to last week’s. For starters it’s a bit larger – still not quite big enough for the end of a queen size bed, but it would sit happily at the base of a double; then there are the colours which are quite sedate in comparison; and finally the texture of the wool – this blanket has a lovely weight to it – the wool’s not super soft like last week’s blanket, but it’s nice and thick, so should be reasonably warm. There are one two spots where the wool has pulled slightly (see photos), so if you’re adept at needlework you could put your skills to work, but even as is, it looks just fine, and doesn’t seem to be threatening to unravel.
A wonderful blanket for a nursery, but the pastels would work equally well in an adult space, provided that the decor was relatively calm.
