I very seldom buy Cornishware, not because I don’t like it (I think it’s quite lovely!), but because I can never really afford it! Even the little canister that we have for sale today was quite a stretch for me, but I just had to take it home with me! The shape is quite unusual for Cornishware – the lids are normally far more curvy (I much prefer this flat design) – and it didn’t hurt matters that the condition of the jar was so good! There is a small mark on this inside of the jar, but other than that it’s in pretty much the same condition it would have been when it was first made some 80-plus years ago!
A great piece of iconic English pottery that will hopefully be put to good use in your kitchen!
